Practice Areas

Ms. Kinhnicki obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta in 2006 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2012. While pursuing her law degree, Ms. Kinhnicki volunteered with the Student Legal Association,  completed a placement with Legal Aid Alberta, and was a student lawyer for two Calgary Family Firms.

As a skilled litigator having successfully represented clients at all three levels of Alberta Courts —Court of Justice, Court of King’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal—Ms. Kinhnicki has represented thousands of clients throughout her legal career. She’s a regular in rural courthouses often acting as Duty Counsel, helping self represented litigants in Morning Chambers. 

When she isn't busy with the office, Ms. Kinhnicki loves spending time with her husband, girls, and her menagerie of pets.   As someone who runs on caffeine and the high of buying high heeled shoes, she tends to not sleep much and spends her “spare” time party planning.

Ms. Kinhnicki is a member of the Alberta Chapter of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), the Law Society of Alberta, and the Canadian Bar Association.

Ms. Kinhnicki is also an active member in the Ukrainian Orthodox Community.  

Katherine is our legal assistant and your primary point of contact. Katherine works directly with Clients to help them understand the steps being taken.

Katherine has worked in Family Law since 2019, and intimately understands the emotional impact that Divorces can have upon families.

Outside of the office, Katherine dedicates her time to her two kids and her Dalmatian, Charlie. She also enjoys all things active and outdoors, and can be spotted camping, kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding or on the golf course.

Jennie is the firm bookkeeper and is happy to help you with any account questions.  

She studied accounting in Korea in 2003 and has worked in that field ever since. 

Jennie moved to Canada in 2012 and lives locally in Leduc with her Daughter, Hailey and puppies Lulu and Leo.  When she isn't busy with numbers, she loves spending time with Hailey swimming and crafts. Jennie also enjoys a cozy Friday Night Netflix & Chill.

Jennie's keen attention to detail has also made her a skilled jeweler and permanent make up artist. 

When buying, selling, or refinancing, Rachel will be your first point of contact at KINHNICKI Law. She is our resident real estate guru (aka. conveyancer). She is efficient and streamlines transactions to make them feel effortless for Clients. 

Rachel earned her legal assistant diploma in 2006 and moved to the area in 2013.

Rachel works remotely and you can often hear her two 'assistants' in the background practicing Ninja Turtle moves and playing monster trucks. When she isn't managing real estate transactions, she loves traveling in her Crocs sandals with her Husband and two boys. She also enjoys scrolling through reels and looking at recipes she'll never make.
